The month of June starts the lineup of summer parties whether it’s tailgating, beach bonfires, or elegant backyard gatherings. The Aptos Farmers Market at Cabrillo College offers a colorful array of fruits, herbs, and vegetables to bring to these parties.
Join Chef Anne and her crew of culinary arts students as they whip up sweet and savory crepe batter and fill them with the delights of the season. The French crepe is a terrific way to expand on the farmers market’s beautiful fruits and vegetables. Learn how easy it is to make this versatile and classy wrap into an appetizer, main course or dessert.
Just about everyone is familiar with making a green salad with our gorgeous local greens, but what about making salads without lettuce? Salad is such a staple to the summertime table, come and learn new ways to expand your repertoire! Farm fresh fruits and vegetables tossed with bright herbs and spicy olive oil highlight the salads Chef Anne and her crew of Cabrillo Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Department students will demonstrate.
Get your kitchen knives and garden tools sharpened while you shop! Sharpening services are available each week at the Aptos, MPC, and Carmel Farmers Markets!

Recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or CalFresh can access their food benefits electronically at the Aptos Farmers Market at Cabrillo College (open Saturdays, 8 a.m. until noon) or at the Monterey Farmers Market at Monterey Peninsula College (open Fridays, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.).
EBT processing is available between 9 – 11 a.m. at the Saturday Aptos Farmers Market at a booth located on the second level of the market.
EBT processing is available from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Friday MPC Farmers Market at a booth near the food vendors.
