Pastured Meats — humane for the animals, healthier for you!
What is pastured meat? Cattle, sheep, pigs, goats and chickens are rotated across their range in a manner designed to mimic the beneficial impact of wild grazers. Meat from grass-fed animals is a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids or good, heart healthy, fats. In addition, grass-fed meat contains higher levels of beta-carotenes and vitamin E as well as conjugated linoleic acids, or CLA, known as a cancer fighting fat.
Old Creek Ranch, located in Cayuga, sells 100% grass-fed, pastured meat including lamb, goat, beef and pork. All animals are raised without the use of antibiotics or hormones.
Corralitos Market and Sausage Company is famous for its apple wood smoked bacon and hams that are smoked onsite. Hams are available both boneless and bone-in.
