Each baker offers an excellent selection of baked goods unique to their own style of baking, from wholesome, dense loaves of whole wheat sourdough breads, or old world Italian ciabatta or francese loaves, to fine French pastries, fresh fruit tarts, and tea nibbles such as scones, crumpets and tea cakes. Several vendors also offer a good selection of tasty gluten-free products.
Sweet Elena’s Bakery features pies made-from-scratch using lightly sweetened organic fruit enclosed in buttery pastry. Fall favorites include pumpkin, apple, pecan and her famous vegetarian “mincemeat” pie.
In addition to their wide selection of breads, Beckmann’s Old World Bakery offers a wide assortment of delectable pastries, including classic bear claws, chocolate bear claws, award winning fresh fruit pies, quick breads and more.
Rhubarb pie is a favorite of the Shelly Family — start the pie filling early in the day so it has time to cool before placing in the pie shell for the final baking.
