Products: Assorted pastries including several sizes of pies (3", 5" and 8"), cobblers, no sugar-added pies, croissants, Danish pastries, hand-made cinnamon rolls, muffins, quiches, pound cakes, angel food cakes, streudel, and a large assortment of cookies. Seasonal items include tamales, rellenas and enchiladas.

History/Philosophy: Catering Magik has provided customers of the Monterey Bay Certified Farmers Markets with delicious baked goods for over ten years. Co-founders Carl Miller and Jeanne Loe have been wonderful supporters of the MBCFM organization; Carl served on the board for six years, and Jeanne and Carl always help out with special events and promotions.

Catering Magik was created by Carl and Jeanne in 1996 after Carl retired from the Rancho Canada Golf Club in Carmel Valley as food and beverage director. Both Carl and Jeanne have been in the food business for many years. While working at the golf club, Carl planned thousands of weddings in addition to overseeing food services for golf patrons. One of his personal specialties is preparing Chinese food.

Jeanne, who was trained by a European pastry chef, ran popular catering businesses on the Monterey Peninsula, such as The Shutters Restaurant and Catering. She has catered for major movie productions, and for nine years, was the concessionaire for all major events at the Monterey County Fairgrounds.

Baked into every scrumptious item from Catering Magic is the warm, friendly karma of the company’s owners who will greet you with a big smile. Catering Magik uses all natural products and no trans fats. Their goal is to provide fresh, high quality products that are as healthful as possible without compromising taste, at an affordable cost. They produce and sell their products themselves. In addition to serving the baked goods fans at the Monterey Bay Certified Farmers Markets, they offer full service catering for all types and sizes of events.
