What is pastured meat? Cattle, sheep, pigs, goats and chickens are rotated across their range in a manner designed to mimic the beneficial impact of wild grazers. Meat from grass-fed animals is a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids or good, heart healthy, fats. In addition, grass-fed meat contains higher levels of beta-carotenes and vitamin E as well as conjugated linoleic acids, or CLA, known as a cancer fighting fat.
