Our anniversary celebration continues — and we have an exciting line-up of events this 40th season!
Jordan Champagne, from Happy Girl Kitchen Company, will be demonstrating preservation techniques at the Aptos Farmers Market, including how to preserve stone fruit, how to make pickles, canning summer tomatoes, and how to make sauerkraut. She will also have many of her delicious products for sale at the market.
Chef Anne Baldzikowski, local cookbook author and award-winning chef instructor at the Cabrillo College Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Department, returns to do two cooking demonstrations with her crew of culinary arts students. Chef Anne will show you how to make sweet and savory crepes using seasonal fruits and veggies from the farmers market. Later in the season, you can learn how to make apple fritters.
Two summer art exhibits and sales with Diane Devine, the artist for our beautiful anniversary farmers market poster, are planned for June 18 and August 20 at the Aptos Farmers Market. Visit Diane’s website gallery for a glimpse of her amazing paintings!
