In June, Silvia Prevedelli of Prevedelli Farms and a longtime member of the Monterey Bay Certified Farmers Markets was selected by the Santa Cruz County Farm Bureau for the 2016 “Farmer of the Year” award. This annual award is presented to farmer(s) in Santa Cruz County who have contributed beyond their normal farming duties to help the community.

Annual Prevedelli Farm Dinner
On Sunday, September 11, 2016, Prevedelli Farms will be hosting their 3rd Annual Farm Dinner to benefit their Young Farmers Scholarship. The five-course dinner with wine pairings from Hallcrest Vineyards takes place in their apple orchards.
Dinner will be prepared by Chefs Steven Patlan, Chef de Cuisine at the Sardine Factory in Monterey. Desserts and appetizers will be prepared by Pastry Chef Karin Johnson, from Karin Johnson Specialty Cakes and Pastries in Castro Valley.
