Diane Devine, the renowned watercolor artist, chef, and interior designer, will be a part of our Carmel Farmers Market opening day celebration at the beautiful Barnyard Shopping Village on May 2 from 9 am until 1 pm. She will have many of her unframed paintings for sale, as well as framed art.

On Saturday, May 13, Ms. Devine’s paintings will be on display and for sale at the Aptos Farmers Market at Cabrillo College from 8 am until 12 pm. If you haven’t met this extraordinary lady, be sure to stop by and say hello.

Ms. Devine’s French country paintings feature the fabrics of Provence, the antique cookware she collects, farmers’ market fruits, flowers, and vegetables arranged in her garden mbcfmPosterDianeand home. Many of the fruits and vegetables Ms. Devine purchases at farmers markets serve double-duty once she gets them home.

“I love to paint food,” Devine continues. “I paint in my garden in both Santa Cruz and San Francisco. I set up a still life with items I’ve purchased from the farmers markets. I’ve done a lot of paintings that have a café theme. Almost all of my paintings have food and flowers in them.”

Ms. Devine created the original artwork used for our 40th Anniversary posters last year. Customers can purchase market posters at the information booth.
